Bergen County Invites Veterans to Share Stories for Anthology Book - there are approximately 55,000 veterans living in Bergen County. The county is seeking information from veterans who were born, resided or are currently living in Bergen County. Family members are welcome to submit their loved ones biographical information and short stories as well. The Biographical Data Form can be found on the county website by following http://co.bergen.nj.us/bcresources/BioForm.pdf Please fill it out and send it back to the Division of Veterans Services, One Bergen County Plaza, 2nd Floor, Hackensack, NJ 07601. For additional information you can call 201.336.6325. DPW Shredding Event - on Saturday, September 11th from 9 am - 1 pm at the DPW/Recycling Yard for New Milford residents only. The service has been made possible by the Bergen County Utilities Authority and there is no charge to residents. Residents will be able to safely and securely dispose of their personal and confidential information; items will be shredded on-site. In an effort to accommodate all those wishing to participate, you are asked to limit documents to 4 bags/boxes weighing no more than 10 lbs. each. Not necessary to remove paper clips or staples.
