What items are included in Recycling Pick-Up?
Alternating Thursdays as per the New Milford Recycling Calendar: - Newspapers/Junk Mail
- Commingled Materials including metal, plastic, and glass
1st and 3rd Wednesday of the Month: - White Goods
- Appliances
- Metal Materials
You must call at least one day prior to pick-up with the address and description of the item to be picked-up. Calls received on the day of pick-up will be scheduled for the following date.
2nd and 4th Wednesday of the Month: You must call at least one day prior to pick-up. Calls received on the day of pick-up will be scheduled for the following date.
Grass Pick-Up: Every Wednesday, April through October Leaf Pick-Up: Starts November and runs through December How do I schedule a Pick-Up for large items?Large items such as Refrigerators and other metal appliances can be picked up by scheduling with the Recycling Center. For other large items such as a mattress, sofa, or chair, you may put one of these items out with each curbside garbage pick-up. We do not have a specific bulk pick-up day. What items can I bring to the Recycling Center?Items NOT accepted in yard:- Household Garbage
- Propane Tanks
- Paint
- Grass
- Leaves
- Construction Materials
- Furniture
Where else can I dispose of items?The Bergen County Utilities Authority (BCUA) has periodic recycling programs for a number of materials including (electronics, computers, hazardous materials, household chemicals, etc...). For more information about recycleable materials and dates please contact the BCUA at http://www.bcua.org. Recycling Yard closed on the following holidays:- New Year's Day
